Maureen Cubbon is Canadian born with the Cayman Islands being her home for over 20 years. A passionate food advocate and culinary entrepreneur, things really started to heat up in the kitchen for Chef Mo when she earned first place at Food & Wine Magazine’s 2013 Cayman Cookout Cook-Off competition cooking for the likes of judges Eric Ripert, Anthony Bourdain, and José Andrés.

Later that year she was a featured speaker at TEDx Seven Mile Beach where she introduced her concept of sparking a “Cayman Style Food Revolution” – a way of empowering people, especially children, to become food conscious and inspiring everyone to get into their kitchens and cook. Since then, Chef Mo has immersed herself in Cayman’s bountiful culinary world.  She is a proud coach for the Youth Services Culinary Team and is the Cayman Islands’ Volunteer Ambassador for the Jamie Oliver Food Revolution global program. Under this program, Chef Mo founded the Seed2Plate program designed for government-run schools, which teaches children about where their food comes from and basic cooking skills.

She co-hosted the “Quick & Easy Cooking Show” on Cayman 27’s Daybreak morning show for 2 years and helped launch Zest Meals in 2019, a prepared meal kit delivery program. Ms. Cubbon is the Director at Bestlife, dynamic international wellness and culinary consulting company focusing on education through unique food-based experiences and adventures.
